Our Shopping Trips, Week of 1/18
I've gotten woefully behind on tracking my shopping trips here. As a result, I forgot why I was had those receipts laying around since I already put them into the price and savings trackers and I threw them out. So I can't give you an item-by-item rundown, but I can share the pictures and the totals.
OK, here's our Walgreens trip on 1/18:
8 bags of Doritos and a Dove chocolate bar (not pictured).
Total spent: $2.50 OOP
Total saved: 31.92 with sales and Register Rewards
I also got a $10 Register Reward back.
Here's our Dillon's trip, also on 1/18:
Total spent:16.89
Total saved 18.86
The Cottonnelle was free and went straight into our stockpile. I know the 4 newspapers cost 7.99 with tax, so that means the vegetables and meat (marked down) cost 8.90.
Also on 1/18, we went to Sam's Club for toilet paper, but I didn't take a picture. We just bought the giant pack of Member's Mark TP. We haven't tried this brand yet, so it will be interesting to see what we think!
On 1/19, we hit Aldi and Walmart. Here is the picture of all the groceries we got that day.
Total spent: 78.18
Total saved thru coupons: 8.40
The Buddy Bars and Suave lotion were completely free! And by the way, I had my husband set up the groceries and take the picture while I fed a very grumpy baby, and he put the movies in the picture, but they're not counted in that total.
So there you have it! That should be all of our shopping for this week, except for taking advantage of the Ragu deal at Walgreens (if the coupons I ordered ever get here!).

1/12 Grocery Shopping Trip
I ended up spending a grand total of $73.02 at Aldi and Walmart. I could have spent so much less if Chad hadn't been with me, but I guess we needed to stock up on snacks anyway.
Aldi:
Fit & Active Rice Cakes: 1.29
Garbage bags: 2.49
Carrots: 0.99
Bananas: 1.40
2 Snack Bites: 5.98
Cheese Crackers: 1.29
Butter: 1.99
3 Golden Delicious Apples: 1.05
Fruit Bowls: 1.59
Turkey Bacon: 1.99
Coffee: 2.99
Cream Cheese: 0.99
Pringles: 0.99
2 Tartar Sauce: 2.58
Canned Corn: 0.49
Diced Tomatoes: 0.49
Total with Tax: 30.72
Walmart:
9 Puddings: 7.46
Tortelloni: 1.74
V8 Fusion: 2.98
Spinach: 2.88
2 Pringles: 2.00
Granola Bars: 1.98
Box of Chicken Broth: 1.48
Fruit Snacks: 3.88
Muffin Tin Liners: 0.98
Cotton Cosmetic Pads: 2.43
Pastry Blender: 3.50
Lil Crunchies: 2.58
Chicken Eggrolls: 2.50
5 Yogurts: 2.50
Total: 42.30
After typing all this out, I added it up and if Chad hadn't been throwing things in the cart, I would have saved $23.20. OUCH! But it's his money, too, so it's only fair that we have things he likes to eat in the house.
1/12 Walgreen's
There aren't very many good deals at Walgreen's this week (for me, anyway) so this will be my one and only trip, I think.
1 Dark and Lovely Hair Color: 5.00 (going straight to the Donate box...I needed it to roll an RR, though)
4 Colgate Total Toothpastes: 2.99 x 4 = 11.96 - 6.38 (Wags Q) = 5.58 - 6.00 (four 1.50/1 MFQ's) = 0.42 OVERAGE!
1 Aquafresh Toothpaste: 2.99 - 1.00 (MFQ) = 1.99 (didn't work out how I wanted it to...I think I missed a store Q in there somewhere)
-$3 RR
Total: 4.58
Saved: 18.67 (16.38 coupon savings)
Also got a $5 RR back!

Menu Plan Monday
I'm going to post this just a little early! I want to be all ready for our shopping trip tomorrow without stressing about it in the morning!
OK, here's the deal.
We did not try the Cranberry Stew last week. Frankly, we were too chicken. So instead of making a dinner we probably won't like just to use up the apples, I'm going to drop that recipe and just bake an apple pie!
Also, the breakfast and lunch ideas are pretty much the same as last week. We just ate cereal for breakfasts and ate a lot of leftovers for lunches. So I'm not going to repost those ideas.
Here are our dinners:
Cowboy Pie, Steamed Broccoli
Tortellini Soup, Homemade Bread, Apple Pie
Autumn Chicken, Rice, Sauteed Broccoli
Homemade Macaroni and Cheese with Bacon, Green Beans
Beef Stew, Homemade Bread
Mexican Beef Stew over Rice
Sunday: Pizza
